Re: Rear suspension upper/lower arms - best ones

I went full rear suspension refresh with lemforder parts through AVS (vwspares.co.uk) and genuine VW bolts. Seems to be good quality at reasonable cost (everything came in for less than £400) although only had on for 8 months and less than 1000 miles and doesn’t get used during winter so can’t vouch for longevity yet.

I think adjustable ball joints would be overkill for my 170bhp Diesel.
I'#039m mainly doing this to get unsprung weight back to what it was (following the addition of the Mk7 R Brakes) and my steel hub carriers are flakey and rusty. Trying to keep it a little bit VW OEM, but adjustable ball

Yes the question was if the result was good enough, I had the opportunity to drive GOLF 8 R and listened also the MK7 GTI CS and I like the "unexpected" pops while a deceleration but for the MK5 that I hear.. the "pops and bangs" are different/too much haha.

I had problems with my DSG shifting randomly on a regular basis in D mode last year. This was in my well serviced and looked after stock 08 MK5 gti. It was randomly changing down from 5th to 4th or even 3rd when not necessary and driving me nuts. I was regularly using the manual shift option for smoother gear changes. After describing the symptoms to several auto gearbox '#039speciali

Hello, I'#039m new to the forum and I have a golf 5 2.0tfsi axx and the problem is that when it heats up to 90 it makes a grinding sound and you will see from the photo above that the pressure in the rail increases to 120bar, it is at idle and when this occurs nbsp problem in motion the car starts pulling and can'#039t rev more than 3k. All Speakers Crackle

Hey guys. So i was riding down the highway while it was raining, and suddenly my stereo completely stopped working, replaced the radio fuse, stereo fuse and finally got it to work, but as soon as i cranked up the volume my drivers side woofer started to crackle. Thinking it was the speaker it’s self, i drilled the rivets and got a matching part number speaker. When i connected the

You haven'#039t said where you'#039re based. These guys in Birmingham are about as cheap as it gets: https://www.citywheelrefurbishment.co.uk/Prices start from £30 a wheel, that'#039s powder coat finish. See their website for all the options. I used them on my Subaru, the wheels were very poor. They did an ok job, not perfect but I can'#039t complain at that p

Hi everyone,
I'#039m troubleshooting a couple of electrical issues on my Mk5 GTI (2008):
Horn Issue:
The horn doesn’t work. I removed the horn and tested it, and it works fine. However, there’s no electric signal at the horn connector when tested with a 12V tester. I’ve checked all the fuses, and they’re fine. Right Door Window Moto
